Ingredients:
- 1 kg ripe tomatoes
- 1 large onion
- 1 red pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 75g brown sugar
- 100mL apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 tsp allspice
Instructions:
- Chop the tomatoes, onion, and red pepper into chunks and mince the garlic cloves.
- Combine all the ingredients in a large pot and let it simmer over medium heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Once the mixture has thickened to a ketchup-like consistency, blend until smooth.
- Sterilize a glass jar and fill with the ketchup. Seal it while it’s hot.
- Let it cool before storing it in the refrigerator.
