Ingredients:

    • 1 kg ripe tomatoes
    • 1 large onion
    • 1 red pepper
    • 2 garlic cloves
    • 75g brown sugar
    • 100mL apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tsp mustard seeds
    • 1/2 tsp allspice

Instructions:

    1. Chop the tomatoes, onion, and red pepper into chunks and mince the garlic cloves.
    2. Combine all the ingredients in a large pot and let it simmer over medium heat for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    3. Once the mixture has thickened to a ketchup-like consistency, blend until smooth.
    4. Sterilize a glass jar and fill with the ketchup. Seal it while it’s hot.
    5. Let it cool before storing it in the refrigerator.
